Tubing Movement Software for Production and Injection Operations
Tubing movement can be modeled in TubeFlow PIC by predicting the length and force changes in the tubing due to changes in pressure and temperature. Various wellbore operational modes are considered: shut-in, production, injection, and circulation. Three types of packer-to-tubing connections can be configured, namely : Free, Limited, and Anchored.

TubeFlow PIC provides the following features in the tubing movement analysis :

  • length and force changes due to piston, buckling, ballooning, and temperature  
  • torque and drag integration - effects of slackoff/pickup  
  • heat transfer from/to the formation
  • effects of friction and fluid flow
